The changing nature of our rural neighbourhoods

The changing nature of our rural neighbourhoods : Free Public Forum
Wednesday, 26 NOVEMBER, 2008 9am - 3 pm (registration from 8.15am)
CD Blake Theatre, Charles Sturt University,Thurgoona

Our rural neighbourhoods are changing. The ‘tree change’
phenomenon is bringing an influx of new residents, but at the same
time some rural communities are declining.

What challenges and opportunities do these changes bring for our
local communities, businesses, governance and environment?

Come along to this free public forum to hear about the latest research
on this topic and gain perspectives from local landholders
and business leaders. The forum includes a feedback session to
discuss future research needs.

The forum is free and catering is included. RSVP to Kris Deegan on
02 60 519 992 or This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it by 19 November.

Local and State Government, CMAs, local industry and business, NGOs, landholders, researchers and all those interested in land use change are welcome to attend.
